The Piper PA-18 Super Cub is a two-seat, single-engine monoplane, introduced in 1949 by Piper Aircraft. Over 9,000 were built in nearly 40 years of production. The Super Cub was renowned for its ability to take off and land in short distances, and due to this was made into float planes as well. The real thing would cruise at around 185 km/h, 115 mph, at altitudes up to 19,000 feet.
