The real M26 Pershing was introduced in the final stages of WWII as the successor to the M4 Sherman. Featuring a powerful 50 calibre 90mm gun with a range of 1,400m, the Pershing was designed to take on the powerful German Tiger and Panther tanks. The Pershing boasted not only assault power but also excellent mobility. Pershing tanks were also deployed to Korea at the outbreak of war in June 1950, and overwhelmed the rival T34/85 Soviet built tanks of the North Korean and Chinese armies. With the long barrelled gun, heavy armour and Ford V-8 engine, this was the best American tank of WWII.
