For the majority of my travels, I like to stay in hostels, this is mainly because I feel ypu really get to experience a full backpackers travellign experience if you’re roughing it and living with other like minded travellers. But every now & again, I like to treat myself and indulge in a hotel stay which I will remember forever.
There are so many hotels, chains and independents it can sometimes be hard to choose where to stay. Some of the best hotels are those who are constructed well, in beautiful buildings that capture ones eye.
Over the years I have travelled to all corners of the world and here are some of the very best hotels in some of the most amazing cities and countries.
30 James Street, Liverpool
This is one of my favourite hotels. It is in Liverpool and was once home of the White Star Line Shipping Company, ensuring that this building is filled with so much history and grandeur. Each room is individually desgined and crafted with unique history that every individual room utterly stunning and grand. With a spa and rooftop champagne bar & restaurant, this really is the place to stay in the vibrant city of Liverpool.
This place is just WOW. It is stunning both from the outside and in, and a real iconic hotel in the UK’s capital city. The architecture is sensational and is really is the most desirable hotel for those looking for a little luxury on their travels. Guests of this hotel include the super elite so prepare to see some famous faces.
Topham’s Hotel, London
This used to be a nineteenth century townhouse and is now known for its old-world charm and its sheer luxuriousness. This is the most tasteful hotel that I have ever stayed in, it is right by Buckingham Palace so you are definitely staying amongst some of England’s finest if you stay here. I love the way that they have converted it from the townhouse but it still has the old-school feel and with elegance hroughout this really is a unique hotel is a fabulous location.
Gloria Manor Boutique Hotel, Taiwan
This hotel located in Southern Taiwan has been renovated and was once a retreat in the late 60’s. No major structural or exterior openings were allowed to be changed at the time of development which meant that the place got to keep its rich history and heritage. Taiwan is a remarkable place to visit so if you’re ever heading in that direction, I would certainly recommend the Gloria Manor Boutique Hotel.
Hotel Pupp, Italy
The architecture on this building is just sensational. The location is away from the hustle and bustle and the structure has an unusual shape that has been created with a German plaster named “Besenputz”. The theme is white and runs right through the hotel and makes for a really stylish stay whatever time of year. The staff are always there to help, ensuring that this is a hotel I will return to again and again.
